HUB:
0-TO-1
PRODUCT

Senior UX Manager → Director  ·  GoDaddy  ·  2020 – 2022

Hub is a unified dashboard for professional designers, developers, and agencies managing WordPress sites and hosting for clients. One place to manage the full client portfolio: sites, domains, backups, security, and billing. I built it as a workflow product, not a feature collection. The launch generated $245M in revenue.

Then came 360,000 legacy customers to migrate. That is where the real work was: keeping quality intact while moving an enormous installed base from one system to another. No NPS decline. No support spike. No attrition. Every standard held through the transition.

Promotion story

A major cross-team product initiative was moving forward without clear ownership. Progress looked real, but risk was compounding beneath the surface. I connected across teams, gathered evidence, and framed the problem in terms leadership could not set aside: customer exposure, product risk, cost of delay. I did not claim ownership. I took it to VP-level leadership, made the risk explicit, and said what others would not. Once visible, ownership snapped into place and the work stabilized before it reached customers. That confidence and judgment is what moved the title from Senior Manager to Director.

Product impact
  • $245M revenue from the Hub launch as a 0-to-1 product
  • 600% revenue growth during migration, $45M to $290M, with onboarding and activation as the primary drivers
  • 360K legacy customers migrated with no measurable NPS decline and no support spike
  • NPS improved from -29 to +34 through integrated ways of working across design, product, and engineering
  • Built the Hub design language system: tokens, components, and patterns that became shared infrastructure across the product
Team and org impact
  • Promoted to Director based on judgment, not advocacy: identified risk advancing without clear ownership and stabilized it before it reached customers
  • Built the UX Sprint Process, later adopted by other GoDaddy teams, creating cross-org transparency between design, PM, and engineering
  • +25% team output increase through a structured operating cadence and clear performance expectations
  • Hired strategically to fill identified skill gaps: WordPress end-to-end coverage and pixel quality standards
  • Multiple promotions from within the team through monthly growth cadences tied to the leveling guide

The Hub speaks for itself and it's clear that your leadership has not only inspired the team to do their best work but to challenge the status quo. Process thinking — Jira, team critiques, weekly readouts and a culture of openness and transparency have led you to a place where your team implicitly trusts you and has clearly bridged gaps between the product and UX orgs.
